New Member Experience

The Phi Program – This eight-week new member program enhances the Phi Mu Experience by helping new members transition into Fraternity membership.  The online component includes an orientation, expectations of membership and journal prompts which help our new members begin their lifetime involvement in Phi Mu.  The online modules in partnership with Phi meetings provide new members with the framework for personal, academic, social and professional growth.

Coming to college can be intimidating. It can seem a little scary to try and find your place on such a large campus. That's why we have our New Member Program, also called the Phi Program. This program lasts from Bid Day until Initiation, and helps new members get to know the chapter. Our New Member Coordinator takes the time to get to know each new member and help them find their place in our sisterhood. The new members will go on retreats together, along with weekly meetings to get to know each other and feel at home in our chapter. Our sisters say that this experience helped them create bonds that last long after graduation.
